been getting this weird bug with civ 5 on the laptop [win8.1], wonder if any of you folks could shed any light?
basically, there was an update to civ5 recently thats caused massive amounts of graphical glitching intermittently, but also i launched the touch screen version and now every time i try to launch the bog standard dx11 version i'm getting bombarded with uac messages [the usual 'do you want xx to make changes to your hard drive] and the game just fails to launch.
any ideas as to what to do in this situation? graphics drivers [hd4000] are up to date but still getting both issues. weirdly the win8 version launches all right but seems to be worse than the dx11 for the graphic bugs. nb the game worked perfectly before the civ update, and ofc you know what steam is like uninstalling the update probably aint an option
