W810i or N91

Spamalot it may have all these features but it doesnt REALLY make it a good phone. Just like how the n80 has loads of great features, but battery life and size let it down a lot.

Wich one has wifi?
Wich one has a 4GB HDD?

Wich one has the ability to use satnav and other add ons?

Wifi = Nokia
4gb hard drive = Nokia
Better Screen = w810i (It's simply a lot sharper)
Satnav and stuff = Nokia

Just because it has these extra add ons doesnt make it a better phone.

PS2WIZZ = It's best if you go to a local Carephonewarehouse or the link and ask them to demo both phones for you :) and i guarantee you will choose the w810i over the n91 ;)

Not only does the size an battery life let it down but mine crashes all over the place and is generally slower than a flippin snail. Cant believe i shelled out close to £540 for the n80...good thing ive sent it back for a refund...yes it has plenty of features but whats the point in having all them if you cant use the damn phone lol:p

How many people do you know with a 60gb ipod filled to the brim. Not you average ipod owner for sure.

if i could afford it, i'd replace my 30Gb with a 60Gb and fill it. hate having to leave stuff on my laptop!

i had to make the same decision as the OP recently, and i went with the W810i. reasons:
  • Spawn told me it was great
  • I've had a k750i for a while now and it's awesome
  • I had a K700i before and THAT was awesome too
  • the nokia keys look crap
  • i always find symbian OS to be slow
  • i managed to pick up a 2Gb MSPD for £35, so i can carry my favourite itunes playlist with me wherever i go!
6 reasons for and 1 against (4Gb micro-drive) was good enough for me.

edit:

Disappointed aint the word mate, im very disappointed that it took them almost a yr to get this phone out and yet they still couldnt get it right. Thats the most pathetic thing about it, my 6680 is slow but the n80 is much much slower. In fact after using the n80 and now going back to my 6680...i realise jsut how quicker it is. God id hate to see how the n80 would perform if you filled up the miniSD card with lots of stuff....i think it would probably fall over and die:p. Put it this way, ill never buy another Nokia phone again especially ones with the series60 operating system. They put very slow processors in them and they give you only 40mb of internal memory which frankly is pathetic. a lot of n80 users are running out of memory just by browsing the net...which is terrible.

But im hanging on for the SE P990 now, im hoping that phone will be the one that i desperately need and require. Judging from the p800/900/910 that i have had before im sure i wont be so disappointed as i was with Nokia. Im happy with my W810i, its fast, smooth and absolutely a pleasure to text and phone with. So im hoping SE pull something out fo the bag with the p990....just its gonna be awhile before i get my hands on one sadly but i dont midn waiting.

Nokia really do seem to have dropped the ball lately :(
Used to love their phones but I haven't seen a Nokia phone since the 6230i that I liked the look of, they either end up gimmicky imo or as slow as the N80.

At least SE are doing some decent stuff, and definitely looking forward to their new phones. Even got some nice speakers for the w800i/w810i that look really good and surprisingly powerful for the size so think I'll be picking up some of those come pay day :D

I agree, I think Nokia has great features on their phones but they are really lacking on the software front - slow gui (just like SE used to be infact!) and design - I mean I really loved my old 8310 and 8210s now it seems SE is the only one with small, good looking and functional phones, how can nokia have missed this?

same here - last nokia i will ever have was the 3230. god what an abomination of a phone...it did a little beep before it played your ringtone, was slow, mono crap speaker!! i had it about a week then bought a k750i!

i really wish i had the patience to wait for the K800i - that looks totally awesome. it's just my opinion, but i really think Sony Ericsson cannot be touched right now.

The K800i does indeed look the business, i might pick one up and sell the W810i actually.

I'll be most disappointed if the p990 is as slow as the n80....but going from the p800/900/910 series of phones the software and menu's were fast and quick and although the odd crash happened, it was bearable...nothing like the n80 where it was crashing every few mins.

Funnily enough i just had a call from the place i bought it from, they want me to try another n80 out in case mine was a duff/buggy unit but im not so sure now.......

wouldn't bother if i were you - you're not the only one with these problems. tell them you'll test it if they pay you, as it's a business phone and you'll potentially lose calls through an unreliable phone.
