Going to order one of the two as an upgrade tomorrow.

Currently veering towards the K810i, due to the joystick. I've got a W800i at the moment and like the joystick etc - Not a fan of the new style on the W880i and the W810i.

But any comments appreciaited - Still undecided as yet.

Both are a free upgrade on O2 Leisure Time Plus - £20pm - with it being a secondary contract.

Also tempted to get the K810i, flog it and get a Sirocco....

dont bother with the nokia sirocco they suck , the battery life is absolute pants and after looking at the k810i its a lovely handset , trust me stay well clear of the sirocco you will regret fella.

I’ve just ordered myself an 8800 Sirocco after getting to use a friend’s 8800 for a while; I currently own a W810 so here’s a few thoughts.

The battery life of the 8800 isn’t brilliant, but it lasts a day and then you just drop the phone into the charging cradle or in the worst case scenario, you use the spare battery. I have to charge my W810 every night so in my opinion the different between a phone lasting one day or one and a half days is pretty negligible.

The 8800 doesn’t have many features, it’s also got hardly any memory and the camera is pretty rubbish, however I never use the walkman feature on the W810 anymore (I’ll admit it was fun for a month, but it just meant that I would run the battery down quicker), I do occasional use the camera on my W810 to send picture messages or grab a quick snap of something, but I wouldn’t miss the extra resolution. I think the Sirocco comes with a better camera anyway.

The difference in build quality is amazing, my friend’s 8800 is older than my W810 but you’d never realise, everything still works and apart from a slight scratch on the case you could almost believe it was brand new. My W810 on the other hand is falling apart, a few of the switches are playing up and the screen and case are covered in scratches and overall it doesn’t feel nearly as solid.

I personally think the 8800 is great phone that a lot of people hate because it’s expensive and doesn’t have many feature / gimmicks. If you want a phone that doesn’t do much, but is really good at what it does then it’d be the perfect phone. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s the best looking phone out there at the moment.

I like phones which do loads of stuff, yet I always revert back to my 8800, its just so simple, phone and text, and the odd picture, thats all I use it for. Battery will last me about 2 and a half days on average use, looks nice, small, absolute rock solid build quality and just really good to use. I have an N95, HTC TyTn, and HTC S710 Vox, and I still use my 8800 more.
