I learned a new word in the week thanks to posh-sounding Retro Rides member Paul H: WAG. It's another word for screwed up newspaper, mesh, fibreglass, plaster, or more importantly body filler.

Keen to find out more about this wag lark I rushed out to the shops for a tub of wag and bought the biggest one I could find. The result, 3.5 litres of UPol finest Big Easy wag. Here it is dwarfing my size 10 DM boot:

I have been busy in the garage applying it to the car and I have to say it is already looking noticieably more bodged. I can't wait to see what it's going to look like with the full 3.5 litres applied.

eh?

if your looking for somewhere to slap that lot my project RST van needs some work :)

Like the mug :)
My favourite mug

Progress today: I've filled the pillars on the car so they are smooth as a baby's bottom. I was going to hide them underneath schutz underseal but I decided to do all the visible bits in red to match the car. I think since I've put so much into the bodywork it will help make the car. The flipfront hasn't needed as much as I thought it would do ironically, I just re-glassed it on the underside and it just needed a few skims here and there. Most of the filler is going into reshaping the pillars and the rear quarter panels that I welded in.

I'll take some pics at some point but it's looking pretty grim at the moment.

The car is mainly red and the flipfront is blue. The filler dust is white and I was taking bets what colour my snot would be when I blew my nose. It was actually quite a satisfying purple colour which I announced to the table in the Chinese restaurant :D
