Wait for 30x GPU Laptops?

Hmmm... I feel a bit stuck over a barrel because I took out a finance deal on the Zephyrus G15 I ordered back in January. I'm also starting to get a bit miffed that other sites like LaptopsDirect and Box have got strix G17's in stock, which I'd gladly take as an alternative if they were in stock in OCUK, but... Well, they're not.

I'm having a daily ponder over the G14 now, which has almost the same spec as the G15 I ordered, albeit a lesser screen and graphics card, but I'm not sure if I could live with such a tiny screen as I'm currently using a 17.3" laptop. I wonder if OCUK will be getting the new Legion 7 in stock?

Absolutely loving my Slimbook Titan. Highly recommended. Got hit with an expected £250 vat and charges from UPS on delivery, though with the preorder price still a steal.
Coming from an Alienware 17x r4 and I am shaking after just opening the box and looking at the Titan for the first time. Build quality is fantastic, really beautiful. Zero to no flex on and around the chasis near the keyboard and the keyboard oh what a joy. Really satisfyingly solid. Makes my old Alienware one feel like a toy kb.
So glad I took the chance of trying a company I had never heard of before. The customer serice has been second to none, when UPS first came to deliver they were asking £1118.00 charges, something to do with them messing up the insurance and cost. Not sure what, but Slimbook dealt with UPS sending them all the paperwork/documentation needed to get to the normal 20% vat + extra, shipping costs. Extremely friendly and felt truly valued as a customer throughout. I know it was not easy, as I could not even get to speak with someone at UPS, constant automated voice.
Surprised I have not heard more of Slimbook as they obviously take pride in producing amazing laptops. Did I say this Titan is the best feeling built laptop I have ever had my hands on.
I should take some pics. I have not even put windows on it yet. :D just so enamoured by the build quality I had to tell someone.
Here is a youtube video with a spanish reviewer, only they come with the Ryzen 5900 HX now.
If you were still looking for a 3070 laptop, I could not recommend the Titan any higher.

That basically looks like an XMG Neo 15. A laptop built inside a tongfang chassis. If I were after a tongfang machine like that I’d feel much more confident getting an XMG (or Eluktronics in America) rather than ordering from an unknown company like slimbook.

What do they offer that XMG and Eluktronics don’t?

They refused saying they need UPS to finish their investigation but escalated it and awaiting a reply.
Hope UPS aren't anything like Royal Mail. Absolute shambles of a company who ****** £350 worth of computer parts and denied every claim I made even with all the proof.
I'd be ringing up daily to make sure they're still investigating. Let me know how you get on mate!
Hopefully my L5P doesn't have the same fate.

After 2 weeks UPS have come to the conclusion (shocking news!) that they lost it.

Now Lenovo, despite me asking numerous times for a replacement, want to refund me so I can order another (its not available and when in stock not at the original price). I'm losing the will with them.

Damn man, that sucks! Yeah stick to your guns and don't let them refund you, prices have shot up!

They've refunded despite me telling them that was unacceptable. Absolutely hopeless customer service.

"Your device was lost in transit. It was lost by the transport company. Allow me to apologize once more for the inconvenience, but I hope you understand that this is not our mistake. Regardless, we have decided to compensate for the issue.

I want to inform you that I have already searched for possible replacement units, but unfortunately, there are no suitable replacements orderable. That is why we are offering you a refund."

Theyre going to compensate for the issue by offering a refund? How very generous to give me my money back after they lost my laptop which never worked in the first place.

I imagine you were dealing with Digital River who run the Lenovo online UK store.

I’ve dealt with them in the past - never again - it was for this reason I had initially ruled out the Legion 5 Pro, until it appeared on a popular UK retailers website.

I understand your frustration but what else could they do? They told you there's nothing suitable available as a replacement and indeed there's nothing with the 16" screen on the web site so a refund is the only option.
