Hey Folks so Basically i have the monitor below which i picked up for under 390 pounds from none other than the best Retailer in the UK :)

Its Great and i Love it although the problem i have is i cant use the Freesync or 144hz as im currently running a HD 7850 2gb and struggle to get 60fps on Medium settings in most games :(

I Was Waiting to get a RX VEGA 56 Strix Edition as i Saved up 500 pounds for one as that's what i imagined the MSRP to be en till the whole Mining craze happend and the Memory shortages.

So I Hear that the Navi cards are Expected to Launch around August shall i wait and see what the prices will be like or shall i but a Second-hand Freesync capable card any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Go for a second hand 480/580. Yes you are paying £100-£150 MSRP but hopefully it'll hold some extra value when you come to upgrade.

There is no guarantee Navi will come out then and that it will be cheaper than Vega as it will probably be good at mining.

As for buying RX Vega second hand, I just wouldn't be able to bring myself to pay so much (£200-£300 above MSRP) for performance that is equivalent to a GTX 1080.

No Navi this year, and probably not next. AMDs last roadmap talked about an update of Vega sampling at the end of the year.

I'd say try and pickup a second-hand Vega56 but this seems close to impossible atm! A great combo with that res, and along with the LG would sort you out for a few years for sure :(

Im Now looking into getting a R9 380 4GB which i can get for around 100 pounds will this give me a Decent performance boost over my current 7850 and i will then be able to use Freesync/144hz entill either Vega cards come down in price or Navi cards are released im planning on playing games on Medium settings at 2560x1080 144hz

A 390 is a big leap over a 7850 https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1753?vs=1747

Sorry I thought you said 390 when I checked again I saw 380. https://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1753?vs=1750 not bad.

I doubt Navi will turn up in 2018. A 260, 285, 290 & 290x are the oldest Freesync capable cards, Any 300 series apart from the 370 can run Freesync but as mentioned look out for a 480 or 580. I'm currently using a 480 to run a 3440x1440 Freesync panel and after a bit of tweaking the games settings it does fine.
