I am keenly waiting info on Piledriver. If only to see what I can next put in my AM3+ socket. I like lots of cores and am not totally fussed about single core performance or x87 performance on hardware.
I like the simplicity of AMD builds, the fact that almost all AMD CPU's are overclockable even if it is FSB only. The AMD motherboards and chipsets have always seemed to be better in spec. and reliability if not pricing. I like pins on the CPU, not the motherboard
.
My home PC is not about productivity, it is mainly about fun. What I can do tinkering with software and hardware from MS-DOS to latest windows or Linux apps. Games, yes, but not bleeding edge.
Heres hoping.
