Hello all.

Due to me being a pratt, my HDD has crashed.

Please could you walk me through installing a SATAII HDD (Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320gb) on a 680i on Win XP SP1

I'm guessing the motherboard wants drivers for SATA?

You could make an nLite install and slipstream the SATA drivers in.

There's no need for SATA drivers when using a single drive on a 680 based board. Just make sure the SATA ports are set to single drive (non RAID) mode in the BIOS and the drive should be detected without any problems.
