Hi people just after a few tips on my walking.

As part of my plan to lose a bit of weight (started april 2nd 08) I have started
Brisk walking of an evening.
It's actualy become quite addictive and I'm doing between 3-5 walks per week. My brisk walk Is 40 minutes long, with no rest In between
Anyway to my question: I have started walking in the evening (6pm ish) after my main meal of the day. what I want to know Is, Is It safe/healthy to walk off your meal 10 mins after you've finished It? Or should you Idealy walk before a meal ?
Some info on me:
age: 33
14.5 stone (start of april 08)
Strong build but with a cake belly lol.
