Wall Mounting a bike

Anyone does this in their garage? What did you use bracket wise? I can't really find anything suitable.

Depends what way you want to hang it. Plenty of options though.

I got a cheapish wall hook from Halfrauds and use that for my MTB.

It needs to hang above the car in the garage, so it hasto actually hang, as it were, rather than those arranged vertically.

The problem with the cycloc is that it is £60! And the others arent cheap either, I can't see why you can justet some sort of bracket fr a few quid..

Why not just get a couple of large ceiling hooks and hang it by the wheels?

I could not find any that I wanted, as I wanted it to be very secure.

Knocked up my own design and got a local Metal enginnering firm to make two for me.

Bolted them to the wall and then rounded the heads off - bomb proof !

What about the hooks you use for Ladders?

Such as this

If it holds a ladder it will hold a bike. just get 2

Here are some pics so you can visualise things.

Height and space wise it had to be above the bonnet of the car. It's actually hanging above a motorbike.
