Moving house this week and my new place has an attic room which I will be using as my own personal space away from the misses (lol) to play games without her always moaning at me about it.

Basically, I want to put my current 19" TFT (LG L194WS) monitor on the wall so I have more space on my desk. I will be upgrading to a 24" this year also so I will need a bracket that supports that too.

I cannot find one anywhere. My local PC shop does one for £12 but it looks a little crap!

Can someone help me here. Looking to buy one this week if possible!

Thanks

Cinderz

well as long as I can bolt it too the wall and it will take my 19" monitor atm and then a 24" hd monitor after that i will be happy...

price and where to buy maybe?

Morrisons supermarket do a great mounting kit that consists of 4 small fittings and a template, screws etc.
Can't find a link online but its small and cheap, and will fit upto 42" IIRC

You need a mount that is compatible with VESA 75x75 for that monitor.

For a wall mount, do you want one that is flat against the the wall, one that tilts or one on an arm that can be moved left and right on a horizontal plane?

For a 24in monitor, make sure the one you pick supports VESA too (not all come with this feature)- the most popular size VESA mount for these 24in monitors is usually 100x100mm, so if you want to use the same mount with both monitors then I would recommend one that supports both 75x75mm and 100x100mm.

This is what the one at my local pc shop says right from there web site:

Description :
The NLTFTARM-170 LCD Panel Wall Mounting

System Firmly Fixes Onto A Wall, And Has Left,

Right, Up And Down movement.

Available in Black or Cream

Complies with VESA mounting standard

(75*75mm or 100*100mm).

Looks like it supports the LG L194WS which is VESA 75. VESA 100 gives you compatibility for other screens, most 24" monitors and larger use either 75 or 100 so you are covered for upgrade as well. Just make sure you mount it to the wall in a place that has the extra width space for a larger screen.

yea the attic room is huge and I will be having my system in the corner on my new black glass desk. I have measured it out and their is plenty of room.

Do OcUK do VESA brackets then?

Cannot seem to find them.

Not sure what your budget is, but I can recommend the Ergotron Neo-Flex Wall Mount Lift. I've had mine for years and it holds my 24" monitor solid.

Goes up, goes down, rotates etc...it's pretty cool :)

Just had a quick look and there are two available on ebay for £29.99 inc delivery.

I have seen some low profile ones on that massive auction site for only a few quid and thinking about getting it tomorrow... also a few tilt ones for less than a fiver.

Yeah if you are mounting to the wall theres no need to spend anymore than £15. Monitors are light, so unless you want rotating features then save your cash.

I went with a cheap, no tilt, flush wall mount for my U3011 and it works great, cost me £12.95 off the well known auction site.
