Hi, guys.

My WAMP Server is unbearably slow. Feels like I'm sending stuff to myself via Australia. Does anybody know why this could be, and what I can do to sort it out?

Thanks,

Pav

are you accessing it via localhost or not? Mine can crawl if I access it via no-ip.com redirection as it takes about 20 jumps around the t'internet first....

I'm going through localhost.

Apparently it's a known problem with the CMS I'm using (Drupal) - bits of the core are just slow. :( Got to be thankful for small mercies though - it only appears to affect a part of the admin section.

Windows and Apache aren't the best of friends to be honest. I'd be inclined to use IIS if you're going to stick with Windows. :)

Your best bet would be to setup a little server running centos and apache/php/mysql though... any old hardware should do.
