WAN Bandwidth monitoring

As per title really, I wish to trial software and look to buy something that can monitor the usage and maybe even applications across our WAN so we can evaluate what WAN solution we can go for.

Any good suggestions?

Depends on the size of your network, we use compuware's networkvantage - it will break down your connection usage right down to application/port and which IP they come from, or of cause you can group them together as sites. We use it with about 1000 sites over 2x 20mbit lines
