Say...if delivery cost £10 on average, people would NEED to spend over £200 to benefit (tiny bit) from the 5% discount with the free delivery removed...

I think only who will spend over £500 on getting things like a new system or a laptop (or a Titan/GTX690/7990) would slightly benefit from it...

It wouldn't convince me to spend more, you have to spend hundreds to save more than a few quid and get a meaningful discount. E.g. spend £200, get a £10 discount, pay £8 shipping, total £198. An effective saving of 1%.

If OcUK were to change it so forum members only got half price shipping then in a funny sort of way these discounts might be more meaningful.

Personally I feel that a 5% off deal without free shipping is appalling when you consider why they are offering it to us.

If they feel compelled to bribe us to like the facebook page, the least they should do is offer something worthwhile. 5% is a pittance once you take away free postage. Even if you spend £1000 you save £50 and then have to pay £15 or so postage on top.
