Hey guys,

My pc kinda poped and was gonna build a new pc next month anyway, but seems like I have to do it sooner then I thought. Im without a pc and dying :(

and seeing overclockers buy now, pay 12 months later, Im looking to buy pretty soon.

Im gonna try and max out. My last pc was watercooled so looking for everything that can be watercooled to be watercooled, lol and as quite as possible.

Looking for a quad core, maybe 3ghz but the new quadcores arents 3gz. Whats better out of the yorkfield, kentsfield? Im not an expert.

Whats a good motherboard to go with it? Want maybe 5tb's of hdd, I store lots of vids, downloads, record tv, games, movies. I have 2tb now and its full up.

For Ram was gonna try DDR3, but cant find motherboards that use it. Is it worth it to get ddr3? I like the deal for Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX for £64

I dont think Ill building this pc myself, looking for someone to build for me and fix all the watercooling, overclocking.

Gonna get the blu ray drive, good sound system and all too.

So any help would be great guys, hoping to buy 2moro or 2nite so I can get it soon.
Thanks

O Im getting Vista ultimate 64 too, heard a lot of complaints when vista first came out so hope its better now

DDR3 is pretty much a waste of money at the moment for what little preformance gains there are with having it. A q6600 should overclock easily to 3Ghz and beyond. you should try building it yourself i just built my first one and found it much better than just having someone do it for you

Thanks for the advice. I guess Ill stick to ddr 2. Is the ram I suggested any good?

Ive built a few before, but rather have an expert do it for me now, Im a bit busy with work and training, and dont know much about overclocking and instead of doing a zalman reserator job for the water cooling Ill get someone who knows all the parts and such.
