Want an Rx7? Don't want to worry about rotor tips?

That car looks awesome, I want that car.... :(.. What can I say it awesome... Did I say at some point that thing looks awesome ...

:drools:...

Now thats a modern car I want.. Love the bonnet :D

The bonnet's hideous, the wheels look crap, the roll cage looks tacky, the interior looks shoddy, and the bumpers (what you can see of them) look terrible.

If it wasn't for the engine, I think it'd be a rather bad example of a nice car.

:( I think it looks like a cool cross breed between a trans am firebird and a mad max intercepter..

So it's got an american V8 in it now, so what sort of power is it putting out?

150bhp?

american cars are not about Hp there abput torque.

should be some where around 170bhp and 340torque if its a compltley standard engine..

Yes, this was in the hideously emissions-clogged era. They had to try and increase efficiency somewhat, by stuffing chokes in the carbs and all sorts, normally running on two barrels.

Bear in mind that you could very easily rebuild that clogged V8 with a few bolt ons and have something that makes 250HP, and then supercharge it and have something that makes 400......... :D

Or you just start with a decent 302, and make it up to 500HP N/A. Muha!

Just looked at the car - not a fan of the bodywork, but that engine will be making 320-380BHP and similar levels of torque :)

Another owner who deserves taking out and putting out of his misery. Just why?
For one thing, would have been a lot cheaper to change the tips if that really was the reason. In addition all that weight will have stuffed the balance of the car and probably screwed up the ride and handling.

Uh huh. Even the wimpy, emissions-strangled 307ci motor in my Olds makes that much. A small-block Chevy with none of that crud will be making far more.

If it was a manual it might be easier.

It's got a manual valve body, so you can go up through the box 1-2-D if you want for maximum acceleration.

edit 2

Just looked it up from GM Goodwrench - a bog stock 350ci crate motor makes 250hp and 304ft/lbs of torque. Thats with 8.5:1 compression, cast iron heads, and a QuadraJet carb. With higher CR, better heads, a slightly uprated cam, headers and a Holley it'd have rather more than 250 horsies.

I remember reading the ebay ad fo rit a while ago, it's got around 350bhp and was mainly designed fo rthe strip, hence the three speed auto. apparently you'd be hard pressed for anything else to change up quicker, looks a bit quirky though.
