Dear Santa, I've been good since last christmas and am getting this in early in case I slip up before this year's.

A couple of these will do nicely, thanks

Love Jon

(Edit: Tried to change the title to something a bit more descriptive, turns out you can't do that. Any mods/admin got a second to add "aka PCIe SSDs" to the title? Tyty)

I thought so at first, but then I realised that with SD cards hitting 32GB and their new specification allowing for up to 2TB (SDXC) it's certainly not beyond reasonable for this sort of capacity to be hitting enterprise-level in the "near" future.

I also presume that the article, being 5 days old and without a "did we get you?" message, is probably true.

Either way, I'd still want one :-)

being able to use something like that in a pcie slot has been a long time coming but at this moment in time i would be happy to be able to just use two 64GB versions of one of those drives in both of the PCIE slots that i currently have vacant.

No point - SATA has the bandwidth for that. PCI-e is really only for drives exceeding SATA specifications, otherwise it's just a space-saver/fad!
