Ok guys I currently own a Sonata 2 case which is nice and quiet but not that great for cooling as the front 120mm fan has not really got much airflow. I would love a case with a 120mm fan in the front and one in the back both with excellent airflow via good grating or something. I do not need a massive case either as I only have 1 HDD and 1 DVD although I do plan on buying a 8800GTX in the near future.

The V1000 has 2 x 120mm's...
But - You'll need to use the exhaust blower for high heat output GFX cards.

But with 2 x 120mm's + the blower (around same noise output as a 120mm) it keeps the rig in my sig nice and cool. :)

three words:

thermal take armour

thats what i have and i have 3 air intake (12cm blue led silent) fans on the front
1 (12cm blue led silent) fan blue led silent on the top of the case
1 (25cm edited with blue led's silent) fan on the side panel
1 (12cm blue led silent) fan blowing cold air onto the graphics card and sound card (from side panel)
1 (9.2cm fan blue led silent)

aka there all blue led' and silent lol

allso two blue silent led fans in my psu :P

Hiper PSUs are far from silent.

Mine is dead quiet (and both fans are running, I have the Type R 580W Black  ), the only noise my PC7 has coming out of it is from the CPU cooler and one of my Ambers. :)

I have a new Seasonic S12 psu which is very quiet, I just need the cool quiet case now. I cannot find any Akasa dealers in Canada so it looks like import only for one of those. Lian Li V1000 looks huge, is it?

mines silent my hyper psu, refitted a silent akasa led light in 12cm and a new 8cm one. origonal fans was noisy
I doubt it. Unless these are some new akasa fans i was previously unaware of they are far from silent.

I have just spotted the Thermaltake Armour Junior which looks like a great case for me and if I get the silver one it should be all aluminium so nice and light too.

i have 2 hiper psu's a 480w one and a 580w one and both have single fan and are quiet, but my mate has a 525w hiper that has 3 fans and thats a lot louder than the ones i have.

My two blue Type-R 580w PSUs are the loudest ones I have used that claim to be quiet.

Seasonic is considerably quieter for me as are Tagan.

My Hiper 580w was silent in my Armour. The Hiper has thermostatically controlled fans, so if your sytem temps are fairly high the fans will run faster and so will be noisier. It really was silent, until it went bang that is. It's now been replaced by a Seasonic S12 Energy+ 650w and that really is silent.

There is no way the standard fans in the Armour can be classified as silent. They shift quite a bit of air but are far from silent. That's why i replaced mine with Ambers. Even they are not silent but using the Uguru utility with my motherboard quietened them down.

My next case will be a Lian Li though. I don't think you can beat them for quality.
