While replacing the failed drive with an identical one is advisable it's not necessary. Any drive which is larger than the failed one will do, the controller will only use as much of it as it needs leaving the rest inacessible.
Thanks for the heads up , also my current drives are sata, not sata 2, sata 2 drives will work with a sata raid controller right? it'll just run @ sata 150 speeds instead of 300?!
