I am currently running 2 7900gtx cards in sli. I would still like to go sli on upgrade.

I know you are all banging on about gt and new gts but would these run on my mobo. Also would it be advisable to buy a psu and which would you reccomend if needed. I was going to go for 2 8800gtx earlier in the year but decided to wait for the gt and gts.

You all seem to know your stuff on here and me being computer illiterate thought i would ask your advise before taking the plunge..

I play mainly fps games CoD4, UT3, Gears of war. And normally run at resolution 1680x1050.

Many thanks in advance

Its actually the 9800 series coming in Feb 08.

I would get a GTS on the 11th and enjoy or two GT's.

Should cut through that res nicely.

I find the only game at 1680x1050 that remotely taxes the GT is crysis. And that goes for all cards currently in production.

nice choice ..

2 x 8800GT's would shine in your system ...

as would this PSU .. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-018-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

I use this as it has 4 x 18A 12Vdc rails ..

the quality of your PSU and the max current on the 12Vdc rail is the key for the 8800GT's efficiency.

24A and above on a single rail (recommended) or 'as above' seperate 12V rails are just the ticket for SLi operation.

again, it's quality that counts.

;)
