Warm gloves

It was only in jest, but if you want an explanation...Fingerless gloves are not warm, mittens are not gloves and useless for smartphone access. Hence it was the wrong answer :)

fair enough, sarcasm doesn't travel that well over the internet

it's a subjective thing, you're right that fingerless gloves are dextrous but not warm and that mittens are warm but not useful for smartphones, hence the suggestion for the convertible ones that offer the best of both worlds.

Are there any phones you can use productively, with a stylus ? enabling you to have normal gloves / mittens ?
($$$ gloves with some conductive material in fingertips for typical capacitative screen look as though they would be in-sensitive/accurate)
if you could have a stylus like a MS tablets - these are wonderful.

Jesus 40quid for a pair of gloves....

I just use whatever thinsulate ones I can get for 3 quid. Do me fine upto -30, not waterproof but didn't bother me.

In 12-15 years time we will be equal on outlay.

I had big trouble with my hands and fingers last year cycling in winter. Tried various gloves but these are the best yet.

They are insulated with primaloft gold which I believe is man made fibre to mimic down. There a little bulky but not like ski gloves. They have a capacitive index finger so will work with smart phones.

I love mine, and just recommended then to my partner as she is starting to feel the cold too. Getting old
