WARNING : BF2 wrecks Monitors!!!

Argh, cheating lamers really get on my ****. Its pathetic.

The one thing that really opened my eyes to how bad it got for me, was when I was playing UT Classic some time ago, in CTF-LavaGiant and you get these Jump Boots right... ( I assume you probably know, but Im expanding for those who dont ) and oyu get 3 jumps. Now, if you use up only one jump, you have 2 left right... Lets say you pick up another pair of boots, you dont get 3 more added to that 2... You get the Max of 3... No matter what you have a max number of 2 super jumps ok?

Well, you can use up these 3 jumps, in for example, grabbing the opponents flag, jumping out of their base, running across the level and then jumping over the large pit of lava and then into your own base... Thats a good way to do it, you use up the 3 jumps that way, and all is fair right...

But somehow, some people manage to "Magically" Jump all the way across the entire level up and over absolutely everything?? - Yeah, right.

Translocating, and keeping hold of the flag?

Firing Multiple redeemers?

Now, I know a fair few tricks. My own kids of which are only currently 9, 9 and 8 wipe the floor with me, and they have some dirsty tricks up their sleeves, but not once have they ever needed to cheat... Not that they know how, but some of those turds online really get on my ****... They really do.

To be honest though... I have not yet played online with BF2 cos Im bad enough as it is... I dont need some squirt pwning me just yet... Im not ready.

Im happy to say though that I now have managed to control a lot of the game now, so Im no longer losing ( so what if I am on easy ) I dont yet have a clue how to fly the plane or the chopper without ditching them in under 10 seconds, but on foot and in land vehichles Im competent ( ish )

I have found a gun Im happy with now ( Zoom has the red lazer dot in it ) and Im now able to quickly swap to the knife for one on one when I cant reload quick enough, so Im getting there.

Just a shame its taken a £400 Monitor to do it mind you.

I thought you was being serious then. I play a lot of BF2 on my 32" lcd and it has developed 2 blurry lines running across the screen and a grainy area on the left hand side. I really do think it is BF2 which has killed it. Thank god it has 2 yr pick up warranty, I'm just waiting for it to deteriorate further so it's even more noticeable and the company can't mess me about with it being so obvious:)

So u smash a £400 monitor whilst playing against the computer? Is this behaviour confind to just playing computer games? Or are u also inclind to road rage? Do u go off on one at your workmates? And do u hit your children because u lost your temper? You might do worse than going to see a Pychologist. :(

All online games are very frustrating... You just have to learn to have fun, even if you do die more times then you kill. BF2 though, there's other ways to get poitns other than shoot people. Eg medic for healing people, or support for givin ammo to people, or engineer for fixing things...!

Or try sniping...

Or even being a passenger in a better players vehicle, he can do the real shooting while you target practise out of the window :p

I suck at a majority of games :p Heck, I can't think of one game I'm actually confident playing.

I jumped straight into the multiplayer of BF2 and i sucked. This time round ive played singleplayer, learnt how to kill effectivly, learnt to live with it taking 4 shots to kill from a .50 sniper rifle  etc.

What really bugs me about bf2 is artillery. Yes it can be good for taking the flag, but whats the point of using it when you have no skill. for instance i spend half an hour running aroun the map to get behind the enemy, i spend 15 mins climbing a mountain, start picking people off, getting more skilled. and what do they do, randomly point at the mountains from 500m away and click "artillery"

and do it over and over and over

wheres the fun in this ????

I slam my fists against my desk til it crashes my computer when we have some tool of a hunter in our group or such like. Very therapeutic. :p

I think that quite often playing games online... I remember back when I was playing Counter-Strike (pre 1.6) and there would be "newbie servers" where you'd get kicked if you got over a certain kill:death ratio. I had a great time there, it's nice to play against people with your own ability rather than be taunted for trying to have some fun on a PC :) But it's been a long time since I've noticed a "newbies only" server on any PC game!

I think that I just dont get into my games enough to become great at them - I often get bored after 30 minutes.

Except the original call of duty! I didn't need no newbie server on that :p I loved the game so much. I completed the single player game in about 4 sessions, which is very rare for me :D

No, its not usually games... Only this one.
Road rage? - I ride a bike as well as drive a car. I have been riding for 30 years and driving for almost 20. I have had a few smashes on the bikes, and am worse off for it. I dont have road rage.

What? for hitting a screen?

haha ignore it mate :p I had plenty of temper tantrums on my computer before now. Every now and then my desk gets a punch, but otherwise I've just learnt to quit as soon as I get a little annoyed..!

I was just playing the game, minding my own business and then I got shot.
I carried on, got shot again... And again, and again and again, so I hit the screen over and over and over again...

I know what you mean, I have such a short temper and when things don’t go my way I get so mad. Knocked the monitor off the desk many a time, mines still working though. :p

download project reality mod for BF2 and you will have no problems, i dont play vanilla BF2 anymore it pales in comparasment to PR, and if u hit with sniper they die and if you hit with other guns they die in 1 to 3 shots also, not like you said whole magazine into them and they still comeing for you, that just sucks :)

i go through mice when im playing css, when a rate hacker comes on, i get extremley fustrated cos i cant hit him and start heavily pounding my fingures on the mouse button thinking it will force out the bullets harder lol.

bf2 is the worse though, when i get camped i shout abuse to a extent until my throat hurts...

Move away from the computer. Relax. Close your eyes. Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth. Listen to some Deep Forest music and think gentle thoughts. It will all feel better in the morning :)
