Warning: Connection problem ? CS Source Vista?

i have turned off upnp and just had a decent game of dod:s

Too early to tell if its fixed though but perhaps worth a try?

Didn't for me as I remember, i'd have to put the 585v6 on and check to be sure though.

Having said that my internet seems faster and speedtest.net reseults look better than before, may stay with the Netgear for now :D

Try editing the Half-Life 2 Game definition to look like this:

It used to work the way it was, but I believe last Thursday when steam was updated they changed some of the ports they use making the rule incorrect.

This seems to have fixed it for me at least.

Anyone tried the above help?
I'm going to try it today, last night i found a great TF2 server that worked anyway so i spend a few hours on that

We had a few great rounds:

All heavy - awesome just to see 24 heavies minigunning each other senseless.

Then we tried:

All Heavy Melee - even better, punching each other to death. He does crazy damage with those massive fists!

Next:

All scout melee - awesome clobbering with bats

Totally off topic here but never mind :D

What the hell is going on with my server list? It's always bunched when I start it?

Any idea's on a fix

I have that problem too, no idea how to sort it apart from resizing the columns manually to read them, then they bunch again when i start up

very strange... doesn't seem to do that in TF2 though, just CSS

Not sure, only played 2 or 3 unknown servers since i changed things, added the ports from a previous post and a HL2 entry but despite the low number of tests i haven't had a connection problem

Give it 10 minutes though and i will be back here with an update saying it doesn't work i bet

How's yours since you changed router? No problems i suspect. If so we know the source (no pun intended) of the problem

Lol nah it's been fine and my general speeds have picked up if I'm honest?

As you haven't been back I can only assume its fixed? :)

Update on the problem: the link above didn't solve the problem, but i found this link -

Linky

The very last post on the page holds the solution which seems to work for me, the explanation (a bit further above) seems logical and well researched

Well I changed to the Netgear router and when I loaded CS source up Saturday I got the connection error again, I opened the ports and went back to the same server and no issues, but I will check the above linky as the Speedtouch is now my back up router ;)
