WARNING: NOD32 v4 + Vista SP2

Not had any issues as of yet with SP2 & v4.

Don't these guys test stuff with the RCs.............and betas...............why do problems like this only crop up on release ???
It hasn't only cropped up on release? Been a problem for a while.

Nod V4 and vista sp2 running fine on 2 machines, 64 bit ultimate and 32 bit home premium.

I'm having issues, it says the personal firewall isn't working, and the antivirus/spyware too. Damn me for having windows updates on automatic :(

So i've had to install a free AV until its fixed :(

Any idea's when this might be, i've not experienced any BSOD or crashes, just a non functional Smart Security.

Which free AV did you go for?

I've been given a support reply telling me to reinstall v3 until they get a fix out for it. So if any of you are having problems, give that a go :)

I installed SP2 and it has worked ok for 2 days. However I just logged in to my PC and I've got a warning saying NOD is disabled and I have to reinstall it...

So far so good here with Vista64 HP, and Nod32 antivirus 4. Having said that, I used Acronis before installing SP2, just to be on the safe side.

Still no fix from ESET unfortunately guys - if your having problems their advice to give to our customers was to downgrade them to v3. Some people don't seem to have the problem and others can go for a few days until the Anti-Stealth/Self-Protect module fails and kills the install.

I've seen this before on both my XP laptop and Vista desktop, bloody annoying it was too. I had to do some sort of winsock fix and then reboot which 9 times out of 10 would fix the problem. For the 1 time it didn't I'd have to go through a de-install/re-install, very annoying.

Just happened to me tonight. Was fine when I updated to SP2 over the weekend and it fails to update (undocumented serious error 0x101a) so I'll need to re-install according to the knowledge base.

Try the following command from a command prompt run as admin:

netsh winsock reset

reboot and see if it fixes the problem.

yep, this exact thing has just happened to me.

I've uninstalled it and NOD32 is saying something about not being able to delete certain files or profiles. I tried to reinstall it and it just isn't happening, says it can't install certain files or something which cancels the installation.

I haven't looked into it properly myself yet as I don't have the time but will keep an eye on this thread in the hope that someone has some good news.
