Yikes!

A disease we had pretty much eliminate looks like it could return in force.

Now unless I am mistaken we haven't seen any massive positive benefit from all these children who haven't been jabbed.

With the very real risks that come from measles I wonder how many parents could end up beating themselves up if their children catch it and end up with complications.

Will a proper outbreak and some poor sods being impacted reverse the general anti vax movement. Or will they just go full blown CT over it.*

* Where going CT seems to be the easiest way to deal with it instead of admitting you got it wrong.

Doesn't help you still get people parroting Wakefields nonsense all this time later and propagating rubbish across social media - it's a topic that really does get my back up.

This. There was a huge outbreak where I grew up, coinciding with the excessive reporting of the MMR fake news and resulting non-existent reporting when it was found to be fake news.

Measles jab uptake fell through the floor the last 3 years for some reason.

The irony is that vaccines have made people feel too safe. If people saw their kids and neighbours suffering the effects of these diseases they’d soon get vaccinated. Not that we ever want to see that again, which brings us to the importance of education.

I don’t think it was for a lack of want of vaccination, our health service didn’t see it as a priority at the time.

This is what happens when you have a society where everyone's opinion matters and everyone gets a medal.

The reality is that some people shouldn't be allowed near sharp objects or shoelaces, but you can't tell the that because the twitter police will come and get you.

Jim Jefferies said it perfectly. I can't post it but go on youtube and type in "Jim Jefferies Dumb Runts" (similar to runts obvs)

That must be a regional thing, we had no issues getting our youngest vaccinated at the usual times

It's a shame there's no vaccine for stupid

Plenty of cures though ;)

I watched a mini docu about measles a while back and how one company had the vaccine rolled out but because of all the CT nonsense at the time that followed, the company pulled the plug on it and said sod it.

And here we are today, a diseas that WAS on the verge of being eradicated, but because of a sodding few, isn't.

My best friends daughter has autism and his ex-wife is adamant that the MMR jab caused it, you can't have a reasoned conversation with her, as she's the one with the autistic child, she automatically knows better. Despite the fact there were complications during the birth and both mum/daughter came close to dying, as well as some oxygen deprivation with the daughter but that definitely has nothing to do with it of course.

We're getting a lot of diseases returning, but to say why makes you a racist Hitler lover.

loool i wanted to say this politely but this is better and true.

So your theory/conclusion (I don't want to put words in your mouth) is the increase is due to migrants?

My conclusion is that's it's down to stupid people still believing debunked Conspiracy Theories about vaccines (And yes, that will include some migrants who also hold these views)
