Warning - RainX Anti-Fog DO NOT USE

Just to confirm the solar tint isn't on the inside it's in fact between the laminates.

Just done a chip repair on a solar tinted 307 and you can see where the moisture has gotten into the chip as the tint has gone cloudy.

When you apply this you have to do so sparingly, if you over apply the screen can haze. If this occurs you should try cleaning the windows with water and a paper towel until the hazing goes so that would be my first port of call.

Renaults do have an Athermic Windscreen (which causes issues with some GPS antennas) to cut down on UV entering the cabin which is I believe thin strands of metal in the laminate.

Looking at those pictures the hazing looks a bit like stress fractures in the laminates which may have occurred due to pressing too hard when cleaning/applying (windscreens are far weaker pressing on the inside rather than the outside).

I have used this on many cars, I find it helps a little (not totally anti-fog but allows the AC to clear a little quicker) and never had any problems like this! I've used it on pretty much all cars I've owned for the last 8 years or so!

I would have another go at cleaning it before getting too stressed out. Start off giving the glass a wipe with a clean dry cloth to remove as much residue from the cocktail of stuff you've been putting on there. Then get the glass cleaner out with some clean paper towels rather than a microfibre cloth.

I seriously doubt that Rain-X has done any lasting damage :p

Have you actually contacted the RainX manufacturers?

I have, they asked for photo's.

I sent them some over.

Autoglass are popping down to look at the glass to see if they can see what's happened. Its its ruined i will ask them to replace it again (ofc i will pay them again).

I didn't apply pressure to the inside, nothing at all that could cause "stress fractures"

I have tried cleaning it with water, i tried using a normal dish cloth, Kitchen paper and other forms of towel. Nothing.

have tied IPA, Acetone, terps... Its still there.

Its rough under a nail.

I spoke to Renault, they said the UV layer is inside the glass and not on the surface. They actually think its the colds fault and could be an issue with the glass.
