just checked my bank balance today to find that Amazon have taken £47.97 from my bank for the prime service.

turns out the free trial automatically subscribes you to this premium service and then charges you as soon as the free period ends.

anyway i got it sorted but just a heads up for the rest of u guys as im sure im not the only one who has got caught out.

I never sign up to any trials that I know that I'll want to cancel after it ends. I'd play hell at loosing £50 on a service I'd only use now and again.

I signed up at christmas to get free deliverys and I forgot to cancel. They give you a refund no problem if you haven't used the service after your trial has ended.

its my fault i should have read the t&c's more thoroughly but then again i thought i had cancelled it.

still in all fairness they were great about it. and gave me a refund straight away.

perhaps a warning email would have been helpful though.

Yep, happened to me. Meant to cancel but forgot. Amazon are good though as getting the money back was only a few clicks!

Signed up for it today...it was clearly marked that it would charge the amount unless cancelled. Same for most trials.

I used this christmas time and remember it stating you had to cancel before the trail ends to stop the subscription going through.

I used the free trail to get all my christmas presents with free next day delivery ;)
