My wife's C4 Picasso HDi is 3 years old at the end of September and the warranty is expiring. The car has only done 14,000 miles since we bought at 6 months old as it was a main dealer demonstrator with 1,500 miles on the clock. The Picasso has been serviced on the 12,500m or 2 year servicing schedule.
It has had a couple of warranty issues in the past 2 1/2years - a leaky sump and paint bubbling forming on an A post trim piece both taken care of by Citroen with no quibbles at all.

So with having a couple of issues I am looking at getting an extended warranty. I have been talking with a sales adviser from Warranty Direct and they have offered me the Extra Care warranty with all work carried out by franchised dealer work for £289 for 1 year.

The 1.6HDi engine is the PSA DV6 engine which is a pretty reliable engine and is used by many manufacturers but it is a complex engine and I suppose could throw a big bill if injectors fail, clutch fails etc. Do you guys thinks this is a good deal for 1 years cover?

Cheers

Is it possible to extend the warranty through Citroen? Some people have great joy with WD, others not so much. Where as an OEM warranty usually covers a fair bit more.
