Warranty help

It's spare anyway but I'm on the lookout for a new one, the one she is using is the right voltage but very old

You're going to get nothing out of Acer at all, terrible company and the repair team in plymouth are even worse. I bought an Acer tablet in 2004 and it spent more time in the back of a DHL lorry to and from plymouth being repaired under warranty than it did working. At the end of the warranty period after the 10th repair (refused to replace) they wrote to me saying that it was uneconomical to repair, they no longer made tablets and they were washing their hands of the unit, if it was sent in again they would charge for a repair (even though they said they couldn't fix it)

Retailer didn't care either about the issues as they only sold them and as I'd already started to deal with Acer they didn't want their reputation on the line standing up to their supplier.

That sucks, after ~4 repairs I would have thought they would have just given you something else of equal value purely as it was starting to cost them so much in repairs etc.
