Warranty on used electronics

Guys if I buy a 2nd hand notebook computer, I have been told by the seller that it comes with only 3 months warranty - is it not the case that used goods from a business seller must cover at least 12 months now ?

Anyone know or have a link? I am afraid Google has not been helpful.

No its not, the SOGA only states that it must last a resonable time, and tbh a 3 month warranty on something that most likely originally came with a 12 or 24 month warranty when brand new sounds good to me, some businesses will only offer a month or 28 days.

He will be offering you a three month 'hassle free' warranty in addition to the protection you are provided by statute.
