Warranty Question

Right, random question on warranty, hence not a clue where to post it Just got a new laptop from Sony, comes with all the standard warranty etc, just wondering if changing/upgrading the OS will affect this in any way if something happens to the laptop, such are hardware faults etc etc? Thanks..

Twas what I suspected, just dont want them turning round and saying they wont fix/replace faulty hardware due to me running a different OS than what was pre-installed.
