Was this a speed camera?

Coming home from taking a DVD back to the local blockbuster on sunday afternoon i may have entered a dual carriageway a little faster thean normal off of the roundabout.

However i noticed a plain white van parked by the side of the road, looked like a normal van but seemed to have two small windows above the doors with what looked like a camera in each one.

I noticed a volvo T5 cop car further down the road but it was parked in a layby on the opposite side of the road.

Speed camera or some other sort of camera??

just for the record ANPR vans check your registration details against a database of known wanted stolen cars, a database of who has tax/insurance/mot and a whole load of other things

if you've been naugty in some way, the Police car will pull you over. If you're perfectly legit and have yout MOT/insurance etc.. you have nothing to worry about as they arent there to check speed.

Yeh, most likley an ANPR van... they tend to sit there in plain vans then get the traffic unit to pull you if theres something wrong.
