Anyone else been doing theirs over the weekend?

Welcome to the unrewarding world of detailing silver cars :D

That said, it does look like a pretty great job.

I plan to do mine next month once I've finished my placement, along with a few other changes :)

I cleaned mine a few weeks back, and soon after got a new camera. So I took some pics while on a trip out to the country. Was going to do it again this week.

Fox is right.....silver cars don't clean up all that satisfyingly :/

Mind you, I don't use a claybar.

Is washing and waxing really enough to constitute a 'detail' ? :/

looks tidy, but whats with the total headlight/indicator mismatch?

Lip spoiler is good, now lose the chrome, add lowered sport suspension and a set of MV2's and have some serious winnage.

Yeah I'm thinking of changing them again, but to the crystal clear ones instead. I am looking into more mods in coming months

Fox - the claybar is worth doing. It doesn't transform the paintwork, but does help overall and only takes 20 mins anyway :)

He washed it, dried it, claybared it, waxed it.. what more do you want? All he's really missed is a good polish.

Looks good but could do with some chrome indicator bulbs now you've got the clear lenses.
For the sake of a few quid off ebay it makes for a much cleaner look.

Did the black trim, windows and vacuumed as well ;) Just need something to clean the chrome as its awful up close, but as suggested, may change it anyway.

did the old man's silver car this week with AG shampoo, AG super resin, AG perfectionist sealer then poorboys wax. Couldn't see a difference till it rained, but the beading then was brilliant.

Yours is looking clean tho, and you will see it when the car is wet. :)

I was under the impression 'detailing' a car was the full on, paint correction, massively anal about everything kinda deal.

Since when did a normal wash/wax become known as a 'detail'? :/

Looks good, man!

I'm looking forward to getting some spare cash that I can spend on a load of car cleaning products to give mine a good going over. It needs claying badly.
