My washer dryer is broken, not drying properly and cutting out when drying sometimes. I've looked inside and it seems like the fan motor is not running. It's a Zanussi ZWD1472W.

Looking online I've found this https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1322337039-washer-dryer-fan-motor which looks like the right part, but does anyone know how much this type of thing should cost or a better place to look? It seems pretty expensive.

I've replaced the pump in the washer part myself before so I think I could do the repair if I get the right part. That was only £15..

Thanks,

Yeah it's 10 years old now so I don't think it would be worth it. This is the first problem we've had with the dryer part so it seems to have done well compared to all the advice against getting one.

I have just found a used one on ebay for £11 taken from a very similar model, I will give that a try or bite the bullet and get a new one.

Have you checked the brushes on the motor (if it's possible)?

Our washer has just stopped working and the brushes are at their limit, 8 quid fix.

This, the brushed are more likely to have worn out rather than the motor itself dying. £10-15 usually has new bushes and certainly on my Hotpoint Drier its accessible from underneath rather than peeling the thing apart.
