Washing machine problem

My washing machine will only work when empty

At first i thought brushes but it doesn't even fill, if i start it locks door and does nothing.

Any ideas before I buy a new one? (Its Bosch WFF2001)

Got the brushes out while having a poke around, look pretty worn but still look ok or am i wrong?

Well they look quite worn, less than a third left.
New ones can be had for £3.37 from a reputable seller on the forest and that includes delivery !

Thank you, saw some for 7 quid elsewhere but for that much why not

Swapped brushes still the same. Works perfect empty stick clothes in won't do anything.

New washer time i think

It's old decided to give up on it.

Got a Bosch WAE28167GB to replace it.

Edit: even with just a single towel would not work but fine when empty

Define work, are you saying there is no motor action when you have anything in the machine?

It did nothing, i mean nothing.

When empty it fills first before motor kicks in.

If had even a single towel in it just did nothing then came up with error lights like it wouldn't drain. But it was empty no water in it!

From memory the wash and drain lights flash.

Bought a new washer. It's on my drive for the tatters.

It had a good run
