Washing Machine Water Feed Pipe Fitting

Hi all,

I have a new washing machine being delivered on Friday. I believe that my old one was hot and cold feed so I want to cap off the hot water feed pipe after turning off the tap/valve to doubly make sure that it wont leak. Are the pipes a standard size/fitting? Just want to make sure so I can order a cap/stopper.

Yep standard is 3/4" BSP

Good practice to fully cap it off.

If you are lazy like me and just turn off the hot tap feed near the washing machine you will eventually make a small swimming pool in the kitchen.
