Washing the car when you live in a flat?

I go to morrisons and use their jet wash. £1 for 2 1/2 minutes on whatever you want and anything you want. Usually costs my £3-4 Every 3-4 weeks.

Should you guys be saving for a house rather than worrying about your cars?

Sorry, i had been wanting to post that for ages but was scared :p

Use the local petrol station jet wash ( not the brush ) and keep a wash mit and wheel cleaning stuff in a box/bag in the boot

I'm in an apartment at the mo, after having a house. Hate it.

2 buckets of water. And several trips back in. Pain in the ass, but there is no way I'm letting the poles\nigerians\whatever touch it. The real problem is lack of vacume. The local one at Tesco's doesn't work.

is there a local touchless wash place round you

theres one here in leeds that specificly advertises its a touchless wash. They've got it plastered all round the forecourt, no brushes, no scratches etc..

I think they use a hot pressure washer and a TFR to shift the dirt. Then chamois it dry.

Where abouts is that?

I use a place 20 mins from the flat. £6 - they used sheepwool mits and do a very good job. Just tell them not to put water into the air intake and jobs a goodun.

It's not so pressurised that it nicks more of my bumper paint is it?

Living in London its no suprise i live in a flat and buying a house would be cheaper but less convenient.

I take a bucket of hot water with shampoo in it and give the car a good scrubbing in my shared garage then drive to sainsburys (1/2 mile) to jet wash the muck off, gives pretty good results.

once home i wipe off the new grime collected on the way home and give it a wax.

...and best make it a house in the middle of nowhere if you want to wash it in the winter and avoid stupid comments from passers by- "bit cold for that ain't it" really... I hadn't noticed "you must be mad doing that in this weather" yes. clinically insane but aslong as I keep taking my pills I should pull through "it'll be filthy again in a week" really? I hand't realised. Infact I thought that this fantastic car shampoo would keep it clean for atleast 2 1/2 years "that water will freeze and make the road a death trap" ...a 2" wide trickle running off my drive along the curb to the drain

I might start randomly commenting on people I pass in the street. Or start putting up a sign "sorri... no speaks enghlis" when I'm giving the motors a wipe over :p
