Wasp nest

[as a beekeeper] There are loads of wasps around this year, its to do with the warm spring. We are about to hit the point where the workers get kicked out of the hive and go on a sugar and fermented sugar bender, drowning in your pint, steeling the jam off your scone and making generally making a nuisance of themselves.

Secondly you don't need anything fancy to kill a wasp nest - petrol fumes will quickly and humanly kill them, obviously be careful not to set it on fire though! Just wait till night when they aren't active and you can just put 50ml - 100ml in a container, slide or pour it into the area and seal it up for a few min.

Last time i had one i used some spray foam that i got off Amazon I think it was in a yellow can called Wasp Nest Killer Foam. It was outside so i sprayed it on the entrance when it was dark and within a few days the nest was dead.

Have done the same, worked like a charm. They tried to fly out and as they did just fell to the floor, it was satisfying to watch.

Sorry to jump in on the thread with my own question, but a few days back there were 4 wasps on my kitchen window net curtain. They all seemed pretty dosile and I was able to cup them and throw them outside. Two more the next day and one more the day after. I don't suppose it's enough to be a nest somewhere, I've checked around outside and don't see loads... any ideas why I would have had such an odd spate of them though?

Any water around or fruit? Believe it or not even the wasps get thirsty, there is a constant trail of them to my pond.
