When my new desktop pc arrives I would like to be able to watch tv via pc so what would be my best option
My pc is in dinning room and tv in sitting room with a wall in between them
There is already a hole drilled in wall but I've noticed people speaking about tv cards so just wondered what my best option would be
My tv is Samsung HDMi and my pc is custom built being built as we speak
Any help would be good

+1 for TV catchup - its free, legal and easy to use.

However, if you want the best quality TV on a PC then it is hard to beat a TV card. You have a choice of DVB-T (Freeview), DVB-S (Freesat) and DVT-T2 (Freeview HD) tuners both in the form of USB sticks and PCI/PCIE cards.

Would probably go for a TV tuner, I have a USB one which is pretty decent, but a card will be more robust and allow better recording /viewing options! Remember though that if you watch any live tv online or otherwise your technically required to have a TV license, but not if you use the catchup service!
