Watch wearers, can you go without?

I'm guessing it was some tech. course the flyboys go on. Either that, or he's not in the RAF at all and is in fact a James Bond villain.

My daily timepiece is solar powered. :p

@ Azogarth, I also get the feeling I have forgotten something, but it remains even when I know it's the watch I've forgotten.

I would feel like something is missing if im not wearing my watch but only when Im out of the house. As soon as I get back home, I take it off :)

Its weird, when i'm in front of the keyboard, i take my watch off. Both at home and at work, i take it off.

However, if i am even going to lunch for 20 mins, i put it back on. I felt naked when i forgot to put my watch back on the other day after work on the way home. Even though i have my phone to tell me time and i will take it off soon as i get home, i still like to wear it when i am out.

I'm exactly the same - I'll take it off whenever I'm at a computer at work or at home but will put it back on whenever I leave my computer.

Funnily enough, I never actually look at it - I constantly ask/look for the time when I'm wearing it...And to think, I want to buy a Omega watch when I'm in Singapore in a month.

Before last year (I'm 23) I never wore a watch.

about 5 years ago i couldnt be without a watch, then i made the mistake of getting a new one with a metal strap and throwing my old one away as soon as i had bought it

each time the watch moved it would tear a few hairs out of my arm and it wasnt really a bad pain but it always came as a nasty shock so i just decided to stop wearing it :p i wenth through withdrawals for a bit and would often roll back my sleeve to check the time and just see my wrist (to my all my mates delight) but now it feels weird to put one on :) id much rather use the clock on my mobile phone

Only feels wrong if I'm leaving the house and don't have a watch on. At home I never wear a watch, but outside it just feels like part of my clothing.

This is the bit I don't understand when anyone says it. It's so much easier and quicker to twist the wrist and glance at a watch than take a phone out of a pocket, touch and maybe unlock the screen so that it shows the time and then put it back.

To answer the question, I don't feel right without my watch on - It's just unnatural as I've worn one for more years than I care to remember.

Ive been wearing a watch since as far back as I can remember, so i don't feel right if Im not wearing one. Only take it off at night and for showering.

In my room, I generally don't wear my watch as it scratches my laptop when I'm tying. It's fine on the desktop, so it depends on which I'm using.

Outside, I'd be very lost without it. I never leave without it on my wrist.

Nope, feels very weird. Only take it off to go in the shower and sleep and only then because I catch the Mrs in the night with it :D

NEED a watch on. Only time I take it off is to go to sleep.

Back when I had my girlfriend I used to take it off for other reasons.. :D

I've got a couple of watches that I wear on an alternating basis, although I'll frequently take them off while at work or for going to bed it just feels odd if I'm not wearing one for a long period of time. I'm sure I'd get used to it again if I didn't wear one but even switching the watch from my left wrist to my right wrist feels weird.
