Okay so I have a Toshiba C850-19D basic laptop machine that I use for work. I've recently upgraded the CPU from a Intel Celeron Processor B830 to an Intel Core i5-2410M Processor which works perfectly for around 30 minutes, it then turns itself off without any warning.
The PC will turn back on just fine after pressing the power button, I've tried two different i5's now and have the same problem. I've read online that it will most likely be the Watchdog Timer - something I've not heard of before.
I have all the latest chipset drivers and everything else seems to work okay, the temps don't exceed 50 degrees and the fan is working as it should.
Can any body help me?
