Does anyone know if a DD Maze 4 Northbridge block is compatible with a MSI K8N neo 4 Diamond motherboard (Nforce 4)? Also is this block compatible with any Intel S775 motherboards? Finally does the Maze5 GPU block(I think the fittings are very similar to the maze 4) fit a Nvidia 6600GT as well as a Nvidia 8800GTX?

The 6600GT and 8800GTX have different cooler holes so one cooler won't fit both cards I'm afraid.

Looks like im getting the same reccomendations over at XS as well. So what do you think to;

NB Block; Danger Den Maze 4
GPU Block; Swiftech MCW60

Can anyone do any better then that?

But im ideally wanting something thats compatible with my current 6600GT as well, as I don't know when im going to be able to upgrade. Why should I go for a full cover? A chip cover(?) + ramsinks should be just as good shouldn't it? Im going to be overclocking the living dayligts out of my CPU, but im unlikely to be overclocking the GPU much tbh. I also should add, that at the moment I have 2x6600Gt cards so that I can have 3 outputs at the same time. If and when I upgrade to a 8800Gts, I will be keeping one 6600GT for the secondary and tertiary screens.

The only problem I have with the 8800GTX and the gpu only blocks are that the ramsinks are dodgy at the best of times and can easily fall off unless you use arctic alumina or similar but then its permanent. I WC'd my old x800 pro and the ram sinks sucked big time (dropping off). Once they come off and get dusty etc they will not go back on for any length of time. The GTX also has 12 of them so your gonna need two packs of mcw14 or similar and even then they are going to need to be modded to fit tubing onto the gpu block which may also require elbows(not good). I was never a fan of full blocks either until I saw EK's - that block looks pretty unrestrictive which is rare for full cover blocks. You also have to consider that one full cover block rarely fits another gpu come upgrade time so they arn't very versatile. Horses for courses I guess.

I'll be getting the full block as its a lot less hassle and a lot less risk for a few £'s more, I can either sell it with the gtx or separate come upgrade time so no biggie.

Hmm, im still as undecided as ever. :( I think I maybe should just get the best possible for the 2 6600Gt cards, then sell up and change once I upgrade. So on THAT note... Whats best for those cards? Ive already got ramsinks on both of them as I replaced the GPU coolers with Zalman VF900s, and they have stayed on fine. So do you recon;

Swiftech MCW60
Danger Den Maze 4
Danger Den Maze 5
Or a 6600Gt compatible full block? (And if so, which?)

I'm plumping for the Swifteck GPU Cooler for my X1900GT. Can't find a better alternative tbh, and my bonus is that I'm fitting it to a HIS card with comes with seperate Ram Sinks to the main card cooling.I feel the Maze 4/5 is good, but just on a par with the Swiftech.

For the 6600's the Aquaextreme MP-1's are excellent. On a par with the DD maze 4 and MCW60 but cheaper. I have a pair on my 7800gt's. They are identical externally to the maze 4 but has pins internally, i believe the Maze 4 has channels. They are not recommended for use with the 8800 series though. I already checked that out with them to get some info for my upgrade. With that in mind i cannot see how the Maze 4/MCW60 can be used on a 8800 series when they have identical performance to the MP-1's.
