Water Cooling help needed

I've changed to rad to a swiftech 120

also im going to need Compression Fitting + EK 1/2" Hose fitting are these the right size in the pic for the tubing ?

I plan to start with the items in the pic, then later on i'll add a 240 or 360 rad to the loop with my graphics card :) and probably get a HAF 932 case or something :D

I love barbs and there cheaper but not those EK ones. Compression fittings are good for peace of mind as its your first build. Tubing is fine for those fittings yes, You will need 8 though. Both the DDC and D5 run 3/8" barbs. Best choice is to get a DDC ultra 18w and a after market top that lets you use your own fittings. If you look around you should get a pump and top for the price of that one you specced. DDC is as good or better than the D5.

ok thanks :)

So i'll need 8 compession fittings ?

2 for the Reservoir
2 for the rad
2 for the pump

Will i need 2 compession fittings for the CPU block ?
becuase says it includes:
"1/2" and 3/8" barb adaptors"

I'd have thought silver would be fine, though it occurs that copper is a pretty savage antimicrobial agent itself. I think I'm just going to use distilled water by itself and see how it goes.

Black tubing, no internal lights, almost all vents blocked off. Shouldn't be much sunlight getting to the water

I've been thinking again and have changed somethings around a bit :)

I have changed the XSPC Single Bay Reservoir - Black
for a XSPC Dual DDC Bay Reservoir - Black
+
Changed the Swiftech Laing D5 Vario MCP655
to a Laing DDC 1+ Ultra 18W 12V DC Pump
also which would be better the Laing DDC 18w or the 10w ??

I have changed the Swiftech rad to a
XSPC RX120 120mm Radiator - Black

Carefull when adding further metals to a loop. PTNuke is copper Sulphate which will not interfere with your copper block, brass/copper rads etc as they are close to gether on the metalurgy table. Although silver is still relatively close by it's still worth considering alternatives if possible.

With a suitable corrosion inhibitor, there shouldn't be a problem in any loop with coolant changes every 4 months or so...

Galvanic potentials will even screw up metals that are next to each other on the same scale: even a single bar of metal (alloy or pure) can corrode if it has more than one phase in it when submerged in a conductive medium. As such, paranoia is a bit of a misplacedconcern in a loop as readily controllable as a computer watercooling setup.

But who, after all, will go through the time and expense to ensure his/her loop is completely homogenous from a metallic perspective to achieve as close as possible to a galvanically neutral loop? Just use corrosion inhibitor, and the loop will be fine, assuming time is taken to maintain it.

Refer to this for a simple guide, or this for people who turned up to chemistry lessons after GCSE...

The kind of components the OP is looking at would probably be worse than a well-ventilated Noctua or Titan Fenrir. Stick to a Black Ice GTX, RX120, Thermochill 120.1 or TFC Xchanger 120.1 - all are very similar in performance. The Swiftech MCP isn't quite as good, but it used to be about half the price.

Probably going to order this lot :D

OCZ HydroFlow HF-MK1 CPU Waterblock
XSPC RX120 120mm Radiator - Black
Laing DDC 1+ Ultra 18W 12V DC Pump
XSPC 1/2" High Flexibility PVC Tubing - 2m
TFC Compression Fitting G1/4" Thread 1/2" ID/3/4" OD - High Flow x8
PrimoChill PURE Performance Coolant (32 oz.) - UV Blue

Not 100% what reservoir to get ?

XSPC Dual DDC Bay Reservoir - Black ?
or
XSPC Single Bay Reservoir - Black ?

Also should i get this PrimoChill PURE Performance Coolant (UV Blue) or go for distilled water? and can i add colour to the distilled water ?

just found Bitspower fittings which every onces talking about, but there on a different website

Bitspower G1/4" High Flow 1/2" ID Compression Fitting

:)

Should i get Bitspower or TFC or Feser Compressions fittings ?

The Bitspower and Feser fittings OcUk don't stock :(

I'll probably go with XSPC Dual DDC bay res :)

If i went with Distilled Water where can i buy it from ?

and would:

Feser View Active UV Blue Dye 50ml
work with the distilled water ?

Not sure what pump and res to get :( probalby get DDC pump and may get the XSPC Dual DDC bay res which would give me room to upgrade.

XSPC 200 5.25" Bay Reservoir with Pump - Clear Clicky would the pump in that be powerfull enough for the flowing ?

OCZ HydroFlow HF-MK1 CPU Waterblock
XSPC RX120 120mm Radiator - Black
Laing DDC 1+ Ultra 18W 12V DC Pump
XSPC 1/2" High Flexibility PVC Tubing - 2m
Bitspower G1/4" High Flow 1/2" ID Compression Fitting
PrimoChill PURE Performance Coolant (32 oz.) - UV Blue

??
