Im looking to maybe get a water cooling system, but I have a few things I want to clear up before I part with my money :). At the moment I currently run an AMD 64 3200+ 939 socket cpu with a ATi x850XT gfx card.
I am looking for a decent water cooling system for this system but if im going to buy one I would like it to be able to run on a new system if I got one. Im not up on water cooling or previous cooling systems etc so im a newb in this area.

I would like one that will run on this current setup and also on a new system, a directx10 card and upto date cpu (not sure which one I would get).
Which one has new blocks available, I seen zalman released a block for a certain cpu, do they do this for many new ones?

I am looking at the zalman reserator1 plus which supports my 939 and gfx cards which have bracket holes (dunno if my x850xt has these :/).
Is this a good system? worth the money? or any better ones?

The main point im gettin at is if I buy a water cooling system now and then update my pc in 6months or so will it be useless?

sorry for being so vague/noob
thx
Mike

The zalman reserator is very quiet but not a high performance kit. I'm not sure that many AM2 mounting kits are out yet but as conroe is 775 then there will be no problem there. The swiftech apex ultra is a good kit for starters and you can just add a vga block. Look on the back of your graphics card and see if it has bar with two holes wich screws coming through.

what do you mean by high performance kit? I want water cooling mainly for the silence and to maybe overclock in the future. Im just trying to broaden my horizons abit since I have never had a water cooling system nor have I overclocked anything before (im scared I break it :D)

thx
Mike

a high performance kit will cool you hardware considerable compared to air, and will still do so under a substantial overclock. where as a low performance kit maybe more silent but will more than likely cool on par with a top end are cooler and wont allow as mush of a high overclock
