Water cooling system loop?

Hello everyone!

I am going to build a water cooling gaming pc with the corsair 900D and am going to water cool the GPUx2(amd), RAM, CPU and maybe the mother later.

Only thing is I can seem to find out if I can use this pump: Eheim Universal 1260 Pump - 230v Mains.
with this res: Monsoon D5 Premium Dual Series Two 5.25in Reservoir - Blue .

Also, what loop order do think will be best, for GPUx2, cpu, ram and what about the motherboard do you think I should water cool that. Plus I will be overclocking.

Lastly, if you could answer this what fittings do you think I should use for this system build.

And no that pump and res wont work.

You need a D5 to work with the D5 res :)

someone may correct me on this, but IMHO, there really is no need to actively cool RAM these (DDR3) days, even passive heatsinks are overkill on all but the fastest RAM. Motherboard would be higher on my list of things to watercool!

Order: really doesn't make much difference (again, someone may correct me), the whole loop will be within a couple of degrees range at most.

Fittings: not much in it performance wise, as whichever you get, if they leak (at all!) they aren't on properly.
originally, people mainly used barbs and jubilee clips, which is still the cheapest option today, very much a case of function over form, which I suppose could now be seen as 'steampunk' :p

Compression fittings are also popular, and slightly more expensive than barbs, they consist of a locking ring that screws down over a threaded barb http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-103-XS&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=2584

Monsoon and bitspower do pimped out versions of compressions, for better looks, but at a pretty high price premium.

angled/rotary fittings are for places where you need to make a tight turn that you cannot manage with just tubing, usually in/out of a hard to reach component (great for motherboard blocks!). the rotary ones can swivel freely, whereas rarer non rotary ones are available.

What do you want to watercool?

I want to water cool 2x amd GPU(full block), CPU, Motherboard chipset and maybe a standard hdd rack.

I going to have 2 loops: one for CPU AND CHIPSET and the other for the 2x GPU and the hard drive bay rack thing.

As ive been thinking, should I water cool the ram as I don't think there will be any fans cooling the ram? every fan will be mostly on a RAD.

Also, cpu and chipset loop with a bay res and cylinder res with the GPU loop and hdd rack.

Thanks for this information, now ive read this you made me think about water cooling the ram or not. There again if every fan is on a RAD how will the ram be cooled. thanks again!
 
I think, I will leave the ram out and spend the money on something else.

So would this work: This pump Laing D5-Pumpe 12V D5 Solar- 38/700 B with this reservoir Monsoon D5 Premium Dual Series Two 5.25in Reservoir?
