Yeah that's what I'm thinking, putting one in the garage just after the stopcock. That way entire house is boosted and noise is kept in the garage

yep need to find out the flow as well as the head .. I'm resigned to putting in a system boiler, and maybe a cold tank to hold a reserve of water
the pump will only push the water that arrives at ground level to the upstairs providing the same flow.
& have a new estate being built that may further degrade the supply

( still need to dig into it - I live on a hill flows not brilliant for upstairs combi shower but think I'd really need a pump
