Water spillage - please help

It won't do any harm trying the 3350 but depends if its supported (bios), which motherboard did you get ?

All power cables plugged in the 24 pin and 8 pin
Yes all cables plugged in and the graphics card is plugged in too as I read that the amd ryzen processer won't boot up without the GPU.

This is the motherboard I got:
Gigabyte A520M S2H

the board is revision 1.2 (amy PMed me earlier)...would support the 5600 out of the box

iirc,
1.0 comes with f2
1.1 comes with f10
1.2 comes with f14
So we need to work out whether the CPU is caput?
Would this motherboard support the 3350g?

Would the SSD be causing any issues? (The one that goes on the motherboard) as I fitted this when bench testing

It's an option to try parts but try the 3350g, I just checked and that motherboard has a little black button on the back q flash plus button you can update the bios without the need for another cpu.

Refer to the manual .
what micky said

Ok so I can do this even with no power whatsoever?

In the above video he has light and power to the board.

So download the bios into a usb then plug it in. Then what?
Thank you

going back to basics
the power socket (wall plug) - ok? Yes plugged in
kettle lead, fuse - ok?  Yes
psu - tested with voltmeter you said? i assume ok? if not you have tried your spare psu? Yes tested fine

mobo is new - so unlikely to be an issue (DOA possible, but unlikely) correct

cpu, gpu, ram all not excluded
don't plug the ssd in yet (extra component to add to the complications) removed

you have a spare computer - ram is easy to test, as is the gpu
these would be the first items i would test on the working computer

then we can say
mobo ok
ram, gpu ok
then would leave cpu/mobo
I can't use the other computer as it's in use (online schooling) along with I really really don't want to take it apart. (Can we pretend I haven't got one please)
Is there another way to test the ram and GPU?

fans still spinning? plug in the hdmi cable and see if there's an image?
They stopped as soon as I put the tray (carefully) down.
What's going on?! Lol.

The PSU Didn't get wet but I am going to swap it over now.

I just wiggled (gently) the wire 24pin and the fans started up but no screwdriver near

Edit. So frustrating I've literally just been called out. I will be back in an hour or so (please say you can be here ) so sorry if I could cancel I would but I can't :(

the cables need to be reasonably forcefully inserted until the clip at the side, clips
Cables were inserted until the clip clipped.
I think what happened was when we bridged 16 and 17 it opened the pin up a bit so it wasnt making a connection with the board.

Fans now fired up.
Connected hdmi to TV and have this message:

I remember this from last time, but can't remember if I press y or n?

I have all the correct bits fitted, both sticks of ram, the right CPU and GPU fitted.
Anything else I need to connect before pressing the button? And which button please?

Ok... Everything is in the new case.
Switches on
Loads up
Tried YouTube and the screen flickers occasionally goes black then comes on again 2 seconds later.
Any ideas please?

Does it only do it thee first time you visit YouTube during a browsing session? The reason I ask is that I get a similar effect when I launch any website showing videos Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, etc but only on the first visit of that session. I have put it down to the video driver loading some overlay or something like that. If I close YouTube and open it again it doesn't do it (until after the next reboot of course).

Edit: Using Nvidia 3080 Ti
Thank you so much,
Can you believe it was a faulty hdmi cable, just typical lol
