What are these things? It esacpes me, I think I got them with my waterblock but the manual makes no mention of them...

Could be to extend the retention screws or something since it looks like they have a male and a female thread... But I really can't tell.

Doubtful, the block in question was bought in late 2011.

Looks like stand off spacers. Probably required to make a universal block fit an older socket
