1st off I have a 5850 atm and probably happy with it for a long long time. I have been keeping upto date with the new Nvidia range just from general interest. One of its biggest downsides is how hot it runs which may put a lot of buyers off. Just came across this with some details of the second round of cards including a focus on built in watercooling solutions, which might ease some peoples minds. Ofc it will depend how much they will cost, when they are due, what ATI will have out by then etc etc, but heres the link.

Sorry if it is a double post.

The good thing about the EVGA Hydro apart from keeping the 480 a lot cooler is going by the screens it doesn`t look like it i`ll take much space as those dual slot cards ether which is a bonus if your cramped for space.

Depending on the price that 480 could be quite interesting..

I agree. The pallit one especially is something I predicted about 2 months ago on here and got full on forum abused for mentioning it :P

Ofc 3rd party manufacturers are going to look at improved cooling solutions, its one of the easiest ways of making your brand stand out compared to others, instead of giving away free **** with it.

why does it 'scream out fail' yes its a hot card but ALL high end cards come with waterblocks at some point for the uber enthusiasts...ATI or NV

the palit does inded look good, Hope it does something to keep the 480 cards cooler than the stock heatsink does.
