Watercooled desk pc FINISHED

To give you an idea ive done a quick sketchup of desk
not to scale and will be painted black

Components are
msi big bang ii x79
intel 3930k
gskill 2133 memory
SAMSUNG 830 SSD 256
2 X 3tb WD hdd
asus 470
1250 wat psu
d5 pump
raystorm cpu block
xspc full MB waterblocks
360 rad

cad file for console bit on desk

I quite like all of these water cooled desks but... if you need to move them it must be a real pain...

How did you get the backplate / motherboard tray made? Is it aluminium?

Yes all made from 3mm ally
except pci bracket which is 2mm
all laser cut

Is 3mm necessary for the strength?

My mate dose the laser cut for me
at work
inserts on mobo tray/pci bracket are made from stainless steel
which are punched into the ally

Little update

started with one of carcass

then a stand to support ps

next faulse back to cover the psu

top for desk cut to size
marked out and routed hole for window

started with the console part of build
still needs to be clad in ally then powdercoated

and started with a mount for harddrives
again will be covered with ally with window

Routed out door for windows and routed deco on the insides of carcasses

Looks nice. I would have though you'd put the harddisks out the way somewhere so you dont have to listen to them spin up.

front for console and backplate now powdercoated
and leds fitted
just few more ally parts to make and powder
